The annual Superiors’ Meeting of the Karnataka Jesuit Province was held at Mount St Joseph, Bengaluru, on 12–13 July 2025, bringing together Jesuit Superiors from across the Province in a spirit of reflection, discernment, and shared mission.

The gathering opened with a prayer led by Fr Ronald Pais, setting a contemplative tone. Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ, Provincial of the Karnataka Jesuit Province, welcomed the participants and offered meaningful insights on the role of the Superior—as spiritual leader, companion, and guide in governance.

The first day featured a self-evaluation exercise led by Fr Arun Kumar, followed by a reflective prayer in the MSJ Chapel. Group Spiritual Conversations encouraged honest sharing and deep listening among Superiors. In the afternoon, Fr Cyprian Tellis provided an insightful session on Safeguarding Protocols and Case Management, stressing the need for pastoral sensitivity, confidentiality, and responsibility in leadership.

This was followed by a session by Fr Charles Lasrado on financial stewardship and the Instruction for Administration and Finances (IAF). The day concluded with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr Leo Pereira SJ, with a meaningful homily by Fr Maxim Misquith SJ.

Day two began with a prayer by Fr Pradeep Anthony SJ. Fr Joseph D’Mello then presented possibilities regarding the elevation of the Kohima Region into a full-fledged Province, followed by personal reflection, group discernment, and an indicative vote on the matter.

In the afternoon, Fr Brian Pereira SJ and Fr Ronald Pais shared updates on key Jesuit initiatives—RRSJSA, JESCOL, and KPAP. Fr Jason Furtado presented the audit findings, Revisor’s Report, and infrastructure developments. Fr Arun Kumar concluded with a clear To-Do list for Superiors for the academic year 2025–2026.

The meeting concluded with final reflections from the Provincial, an evaluation session, and a vote of thanks by Fr Maxim Dias SJ. Marked by openness, collaboration, and a shared spiritual depth, the gathering reaffirmed the Jesuit commitment to mission and leadership.
