Xavier Sadan

Xavier Sadan is a Jesuit Retreat and Renewal Centre located at Naguvinahalli, about 6 km from Srirangapatna on the Bengaluru–Mysuru Highway, and approximately 12 km from the Mysuru suburban bus stand. The centre is easily accessible by road, with frequent bus services connecting Mysuru, Srirangapatna, and Lakshmipura.

Dedicated to fostering spiritual growth and renewal, Xavier Sadan offers a wide range of programmes rooted in the Ignatian tradition. These include 8-day and 30-day Ignatian retreats, courses on religious life and formation, refresher programmes in religious leadership and financial management, awareness retreats, inner healing retreats, and monthly recollections. Short retreats for junior religious are also regularly organized.

The centre serves as an important venue for ongoing formation, hosting programmes for formators, spiritual directors, and religious leaders. Seminarians of the Mysuru Diocese gather here each month for their recollections, typically conducted as overnight programmes.

A number of experienced resource persons from within and outside the Jesuit network contribute to these programmes, enriching the formation experience and ensuring their effective conduct.

In keeping with its mission of wider outreach, Xavier Sadan also seeks to place its facilities and programmes at the service of the laity. Special attention is given to parish-based groups such as Parish Pastoral Councils, the Legion of Mary, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and youth groups, offering them opportunities for spiritual renewal and leadership formation.
