St. Aloysius PU College, Harihar is a Jesuit educational institution committed to academic excellence, holistic formation, and value-based education. Established in 2005, St. Aloysius PU College was founded to meet the growing educational aspirations of students in Harihar and the surrounding rural regions. The institution initially functioned on the premises provided by Maria Nivas School, Harihar, before moving to its present campus at Amaravathi Village in 2009.

The college is a sister institution of the historic St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru, one of the oldest Jesuit educational institutions in Karnataka established in 1880. Inspired by this rich educational heritage, St. Aloysius PU College continues the Jesuit mission of forming students through excellence in academics, discipline, leadership, and service.

Named after St. Aloysius Gonzaga, the patron saint of youth, the institution draws inspiration from his life of purity, dedication, and selfless service.
